Football at the SoccerShed - Friday 20th January at 5.00pm is being arranged. BUS Leaving Church at 4.30pm Sharp. £3 per person. EVERYONE must have consent form completed (See Aaron or complete at Chruch). Names can be emailed or telephone call Owen on 2589 2833.

JUMP will be having its final youth club night before Summer on 17th June. Soccer Shed for Football, Hawaiian Night and finishing of with a BBQ. *Hope the Sun comes back*

JUMP had their fourth focus session. The topic was "First-Aid". The session showed members how to carry out CPR as well as trial run of putting friends into the recovery position.

JUMP had their third focus session. The topic was "Poverty in Africa". The session showed work undertaken by various charities, including 1st Donegore's wonderful patchwork blankets.

JUMP had their second focus session. The topic was "Dangers of Smoking and Alcohol". The session highlighted what damage Smoking and Alcohol does to the body as well as life expectancy in boys and girls.

JUMP had their first focus session. The topic was "Staying Safe Online". This brief presentation for all members in the big hall, covered the dangers of giving out personal information, cyber-bullying and the importance of having a balance in life (internet, homework, play, sport and helping around the home).

Ten Pin bowling at Antrim Forum was a great night, with the overall winner being Jack Tumilty. Well done to all members who all had a fantastic night out.

The club would like to advise all members that the use of mobile phones and ipod devices for taking picture and recording viideo is strictly prohibited in Youth Club. Please respect other members at all times. Club Rules are available Click Here.

Don't forget next Youth Club night is 25th February. For those going to Antrim Forum Ten Pin Bowling, please be at Youth Club for 7.00pm sharp. We will be back for 9.30pm. Youth Club is open for those not going Bowling.

The club are organising a trip to the Antrim Forum for some Ten-Pin Bowling. The cost is £3.00 per person and the members need to have a completed consent form in by Friday 11th February. Click Here for the form. There are only 20 places....

3rd December 2010

This was the last official night of Youth Club for 2010 :-(

However, we are organising the Christmas tree swtich on again this year for Friday 10th December. The festive fun starts at 7.00pm, with Santa coming to switch on our village tree lights at 7.15pm. There will be singing and presents for the kids. Don't forget to bring your letters for Santa kids !!

There will then be a Christmas Party at JUMP Youth Club from 7.45pm until 9.30pm. Kids under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

We would like to thank Antrim Borough Council for providing some grant aid for this great event.

JUMP Leaders and Volunteers would like to wish all members and families a very Happy Christmas.

We're back in 2011 on Friday 14th January at the usual time of 7.30pm.

22nd November 2010 - Children In Need

We are excited by the news having raised £186.81 for this worthwhile cause. Well done everyone, leaders, members and parents for your support during the evenings events. There were some very worthy winners and everyone had a great time.. See JUMP Gallery for pictures.

What a night !! Hairdressing and Soccer Shed !!

A big thank you to our Hairdressers from Paul Stafford's and Natalie's on the Lisburn Road. The girls and a certain Leader, had a makeover.

We also took 18 boys (3 teams of 6) for an hour of indoor football on Ballyclare's very own 3G pitches. A lot of tired legs ... Click here to go to the Soccer Shed

Another great night of fun and games this evening at JUMP. We are planning to take members (Boys & Girls) to Soccer Shed in Ballyclare for an hour on Friday 22nd October for an indoor kick about.

JUMP will cover costs, so only your 50p club entry on the night. Youth club starts and ends at the same time on Friday 22nd October.

Our last JUMP night before suimmer break was spent outside in the glorious sunshine with a BBQ. Loads of Burgers and Hot-Dogs as well as cold drinks whilst enjoying football, basketball and the Tresaure Hunt (with prizes) went well. Ryan Fenwick received a prize for guessing the England - Algeria ( 0 - 0 ) World Cup match.

A big thank you to all the leaders and volunteers for giving up their valuable time. We are always looking for volunteers / helpers. Two main events of the evening.. Firstly Aerobics which was a great success and ...

What a great event! JUMP took 18 members to OZONE for a night of laser wars. Everyone had a wonderful time (including the leaders) Unfortunately no pictures, but plenty of fun had.

Next Youth Club night will be Friday 23rd April, though we are going to OZONE on the 9th April 2010. If you would like to go, the bus is leaving Youth Club at approx 7.15pm and cost will be £3.00. For those of you who took forms home, please have them completed and bring with you. All Event Permission forms must be completed at the club before departure. You can pick children up at normal time of 9.30pm. There is *NO* youth club 9th April 2010.

Well Done to the Parkgate Rangers , Jake, Jack, Robert, Bailey, James and Darren. Winners of the Football League being presented with one of their trophies by Youth Club Leader Alan McWhirter.

The football league has started... The Teams: Parkgate Rangers, Parkgate FC and Team1 are all contesting the league title, with the winning Team members all receiving a trophy!! The league runs for two weeks (9/10 and 23/10). See current league tables and team sheets.

We are still looking for hockey teams that can play in a knock-out tournament on the 23/10. More silverware to be snapped up for the winning team... Get your team sheets in early on 23/10 so you don't miss out.

The youth club has now been officially named. 'JUMP' - 'Jesus Understands My Prays'

The prize winner was Lauren McConkey, pictured here with Youth Club Leader, Brendan Magill. There were many entrants, but we felt that JUMP really stood out for the judges. Thank you to everyone who put forward a name. A big thanks to Alan McWhirter for his creative and very professional logo design and supply of prizes.

The Youth Club committee are meeting on the 25th June 2009 to agree a programme for September. Watch out for dates and information on the website.

We are running a competition to name the Youth Club. There are forms available from the main sign-in desk at the youth centre. There will be a prize for the winner. If you aren't in, you can't win! See Youth Club section for more details.

The Youth Club will be having a further trial evening on Friday 22nd May, from 7.30pm until 9.30pm. Remeber to bring along parent consent forms!... Four further evenings have also now been confirmed. Check out the Youth Club section for dates.

The second trial night was a great success, with 54 kids arriving for more fun and games. If you are interested in helping out or would like to get in touch then send an email to the leaders at jump@parkgate.org.uk We are looking some suggestions for activities.

Parkgate Youth Club is up and running! .... the first of four trial nights was held in 1st Donegore Church. What a success, with over 45 kids having a great time. The other three trial evenings will be Friday 27th March, Friday 13th and Friday 20th March. Times are all 7.30pm until 9.30pm... Kids going into 1st Form this year (2009) and upwards (16 year) are welcome. Parent consent forms are available and must be completed.
